Martin Curley

Hi, I’m Martin Curley, a Videographer/Cinematographer from Dublin, Ireland. Since first having my artwork published when I was fourteen, I have grown an ever increasing appetite to tell stories through images. Obtaining a first class honours degree in film production from the University of Wolverhampton, I swopped pencils for cameras and my work has gone on to be screened at festivals internationally and nationally.

While working as a Videographer/Cinematographer, I am experienced in shooting/editing/producing short films, Promotional videos, Corporate events, Drone videos, Music videos, Testimonials, Documentaries and Time-lapses. I was Director of Photography on 2 of the final 6 films nominated for the National Smedia Best Short film awards (including the winner) in 2015. My work as DOP on several music videos and short films has screened nationally and internationally at film festivals. I have also worked as a videographer for over 6 years at Lensmen, covering many aspects of the industry. Currently working on The Lir graduate short film with Vinny Murphy Producing and Juanita Wilson directing. Always open for challenges and working with creative and ambitious people, you can contact me at info@martincurleyvisuals.com or just DM me on Instagram.

Jorge Santos – Adventures In Jiu Jitsu (Documentary)

Jorge Santos: Adventures In Jiu Jitsu, is a zero budget ‘passion project’ which looks into JSBJJ, based in Ireland with affiliates in Sweden, Hungary & Mexico.
What started out as a short promo video turned into something much bigger. Once Jorge Santos and I started talking in his kitchen, I had the bare minimum of equipment with me.
Jorge and I discussed his journey through the world of Jiu Jitsu, the opportunities and friendships it has given him along with the many challenges in getting to where he is today.

///Testimonials

I had the pleasure of working closely with Martin Curley for six years at Lensmen. During this time he was largely responsible for setting up the Video Department. He successfully ran projects, big and small, from start to finish. His attention to detail in pre production and planning was highly professional and he oversaw many day to day elements of the Department in a senior role. On assignments he remained calm even in the most difficult situations and he showed his creative talent on shoot after shoot. Martin is comfortable with Corporate, PR, Documentary and narrative work so I’d be delighted to recommend him for any type of work.
Peter Thursfield,
Former Picture Editor,
Irish Times

Martin worked with EPiK Media for the last number of years as DP and cameraman on a variety of projects. We found him to be very dependable, diligent and honest in all his dealings. The quality of Martin’s work made him our first-choice for projects that required a unique creative eye. His creativity and passion, professional and accommodating manner as well as his kind and patient interpersonal skills when dealing with clients is always exceptional. We would wholeheartedly recommend Martin and look forward to working with him for many more years to come.
Michelle Ryan,
Founder/Director – Epik Media

Martin is a consummate professional, talented, adaptable to the maximum to any situation on a shoot and one of the nicest people to work with.
Leticia Agudo & Paul McGrath. Whackala Ltd.

Martin is my first choice when it comes to any video project I might be working on that needs to be done to the highest of standards. His keen eye for detail along with his passion for his craft make him one of the best around. Not only is Martin incredibly talented at what he does but he’s also a dream to work with. His dedication to the collaborative process is second to none and his energy is infectious and always helps to push the projects he works on to the next level. I couldn’t recommend Martin highly enough as a camera operator, DOP, editor or indeed as a person. Always a pleasure to work with a person of such talent with a very obvious love for what he does.
